As per the requirements of the updated November 2017 National Civil Aviation Security Programme (NCASP), the Irish Aviation Authority(IAA) has approved Simtech Aviation as an Aviation Security Training Organisation (ASTO).Under the provisions of the NCASP, from 1st December 2017 all aviation security training delivered in the Republic of Ireland must be provided by an approved ASTO. Increase in number of new female pilotsEasyJet is encouraging more women to take up a career as a pilot and has offered 49 new entrant female co-pilots a job this year.In 12 months, 13% of new entrant pilots it selected were female, a number which is up from 6% in 2015 when the airline launched its Amy Johnson Flying Initiative. EasyJet’s Head of Flight Operations, Captain David Morgan said: “Flying is a rewarding career and we want to attract the best people to fly our customers around Europe.”
