The distance learning element of the course provides additional flexibility for students. To facilitate this self study, access will be provided to the Simtech portals up to four weeks in advance of commencement of ATO Ground school. The portals contain Student Training Manual, Computer Based Training, ATR Manual and Question Banks.

Our course is EASA Part FCL compliant and is comprised of theoretical and practical elements including type specific UPRT, PBN and Instrument Rating
The course is split into four phases;

Base Training.
4 or 6 Landings depending on requirement and including at least one stop landing and go-around
ATR72-600 Simulator
Pre Entry Requirements
Have at least 70 hours of flight experience
Hold or have held a multi-engine IR(A)
Have passed the ATPL(A) theoretical knowledge examination in accordance with Part FCL
Except when the type rating course is combined with an MCC course;
Hold a certificate of satisfactory completion of an MCC course in aeroplanes; or have at least 500 hours as a pilot on multi-pilot operations on single pilot multi- engine aeroplanes, in commercial air transport.
Hold a certificate of satisfactory completion of Advanced Prevention and Recovery Training (AUPRT) in accordance with FCL.745. A.
EASA English level proficiency 4 or higher.
In addition, for Captain:
Flight time of more than 1500 hours as pilot 500 hours on Part-25/FAR-25 or Part-23/FAR-23 aircraft operated in multi-crew environment.
In addition, for First Officer:
Flight time of more than 500 hours as pilot
200 hours on Part-25/FAR-25 or Part-23/FAR-23 aircraft operated in multi-crew environment
First Officers who do not meet the hours requirement as outlined, shall attend an initial evaluation to assess if they have the sufficient level of knowledge, aptitude and CRM skills before entering the initial type rating course.
