MCC Course

The Simtech Aviation MCC course is an intensive 8-day program designed to prepare cadets for the multi-crew environment they will experience in airline operations. Training is delivered by our highly experienced team of EASA-qualified instructors, made up of current and former Airline pilots, line-training captains, TRI/TREs’, some have held positions of Chief Pilot & Heads of Training with major airlines. Their real-world experience brings the syllabus to life, ensuring every session is relevant, practical, and aligned with airline expectations.

Conveniently located beside Dublin Airport, Simtech’s purpose-built 1,860sqm Pilot Training Centre of Excellence provides an exceptional learning environment with modern briefing rooms, a dedicated simulator training bay and full student support facilities.

Please note: This course requires a minimum of two participants. Students must book with a training partner, as MCC training cannot be conducted as an individual booking.

Own iPad/tablet required throughout the course. (iPad mini not an option. The sims have standard sized mounting brackets inside the flight deck, the iPad/Android equivalent should conform to min 9.5in – to max 10.5in approx. screen size.)

Course Summary

The Simtech MCC course focuses on developing the essential skills required for effective multi-crew operations, including communication, situational awareness, workload management, decision-making and teamwork. Throughout the course, cadets are encouraged to participate actively in classroom discussions and apply concepts directly to the simulator environment.

Training takes place over 8 consecutive days, consisting of:

  • 25 hours of ground school instruction
  • 20 hours simulator training on our fixed base Boeing 737-800NG

Entry Requirements

This is an EASA-approved Modular MCC course. Cadets must meet the following requirements:

  • ELP Certificate (Level 4)
  • Valid Licence (PPL/CPL)
  • *Current MEIR

*Proof of MEIR test completion is acceptable if timing has not yet allowed the rating to be printed on the licence. The MCC certificate will only be issued once the updated licence including the MEIR has been received.

All required documentation must be submitted to Simtech Aviation no later than 4 weeks prior to course start.

Cost

The total cost of the Simtech EASA MCC Course is €2,795.
This price includes any applicable flight school partnership reductions or buddy booking discounts.

Hotel accommodation for 9 nights is available at an additional cost. Seasonal rates apply.
