ATPL Theory Course

ATPL theoretical knowledge training is a pre-requisite for all future Airline Pilots prior to completing the practical elements of their flight training (i.e. CPL, IR-ME, MCC, etc). Students are required to undergo formalised training at an approved ATO

The entire theoretical knowledge course comprises 720 hours of distance learning and approximately 72 hours (10 days) of online classroom instruction. It is based on a three-module system and at a self-study work rate of 20 hours a week.

Hybrid Learning:
This ATPL is one of the first EASA approved ATO’s to embrace the concept of a “virtual” classroom. The course is conducted completely online without any “in-class” contact required. With the brand new hybrid model, you can can even now choose to physically attend some of your revision classes by joining us in Dublin or attending your classes virtually (“login”) – this provides you with the ultimate flexibility for your training. 

Course Instructors:
Simtech Aviation’s ATPL course is powered by our partner ASG, an Approved Training Organisation of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) permitted to deliver training for the award of an Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL).

The team consists of 20+ instructors who are operational in the aviation industry and include: current airline pilots, type rating instructors, aircraft and avionics technicians, human factors specialists, military pilot instructors, aeronautical engineers, and air traffic controllers.
