Up until now, you have been trained to fly in a single crew environment, responsible for every aspect of the operation of a flight from planning, pre-flight checking, flying, cockpit checks, radio communications, descent and landing.
The MCC course takes the skills you have learned until now and adapts them to work in a multi-crew environment and learn procedures used in everyday airline operations.
The combined MCC/JOC course is conducted using an iPad/tablet while taught by our highly experienced, EASA approved instructors. All the Simtech Aviation instructors are vastly experienced airline pilots, having flown with many of the world’s largest airlines. Their experience is used to demonstrate particular scenarios and add relevance to the concepts covered in the manual. You will be encouraged to participate in discussions as much as possible and to share your experiences with the class.
The intensive course takes place over 10 consecutive days, offering 25 hours of ground school training and 28 hours of simulator-based training. The simulator training is divided into two sections. The MCC element of the training which is 20 hours will be conducted on the XJ simulator and the JOC training which is 8 hours will be completed on our new 737-800 FTD-1 simulator.
The combined course is conducted by highly experienced EASA approved instructors, all of whom have airline training experience and are pilots flying with international scheduled and charter airlines.
This is a Modular MCC course. Cadets are required to meet the following requirements:

"I received an email from Ryanair that I successfully passed the assessment. Thank you very much for everything."
"I received an email from Ryanair that I successfully passed the assessment. Thank you very much for everything. It was a really great experience at Simtech for both MCC/JOC and assessment preparation
After the preparation, I was so confident and you can actually notice that all of us who did the preparation were the calmest ones on the day of the assessment."
— Christos Tzelepis, MCC/JOC student
"Simtech played a part in getting me where I am today"
"I joined the Simtech MCC programme as a preparation for my AQC with CTC. I have to say this was a really good decision and I cannot praise enough the training I have received in Dublin.
The period spent in Simtech was fully enjoyable and everyone was helpful. After completing Simtech I went ahead and went through AQC programme with CTC and a month later I was offered a job with easyJet. I am currently an FO with easyJet and I have to admit that Simtech did play a part in getting where I am today.
- Adrian Guramba, EasyJet FO
