Course Footprint

Our course is EASA Part FCL compliant and is comprised of theoretical and practical elements including type specific UPRT, PBN and Instrument Rating.

The course is split into four phases and takes approximately 42 days (including days off):

Phase 1: Distance Learning computer-based Training & Self-Study

Phase 2: ATO Ground School 50 Hours of Instructor-led training to include:

Phase 3: Simulator Training & Skills Test

Phase 4: Flying Syllabus (Base Training)

In addition, for First Officer:

First Officers who do not meet the hours requirement as outlined, shall attend an initial evaluation to assess if they have the sufficient level of knowledge, aptitude and CRM skills before entering the initial type rating course.
When Initial Evaluation is required, it will comprise of an interview and simulator assessment. The simulator assessment shall assess if the candidate has the level of proficiency required for entering the initial type rating course.
Candidates who do not demonstrate sufficient knowledge, aptitude and CRM skills shall be enrolled onto an ELT (Entry Level Training) course prior to commencing the type rating.
Entry Level Training (ELT) shall be provided for those candidates who do not demonstrate the level of proficiency required for entering the initial type rating course.
